Three months ago you came into this world and changed all of our lives forever, you became the second and much beloved daughter to your parents, and the adored and watched over sister of little one. When I held you for the first time I felt such an overwhelming rush of love and protectiveness that I had no idea I was capable of. When you sister was born I felt this for the first time, but when you came to join us, it only grew. You are so tiny, but already have such an influence over everyone you meet. I love to watch the pure joy that spreads over the faces of everyone you look upon. You radiate love and gentleness, your smiles are a thing of beauty.
I am so honored to be your Godmother, to say I take this role seriously is an understatement. Though I’m pretty sure your parents have this on lock-down, I will do all i can to help bring you up, along with the many people who love and adore you. I promise to watch over you, do everything in my power to protect you, to make you tutus, to read to you, to listen to you, laugh with you, and be there for you in every possible way. I love you littlest one, I am so excited and honored that I will get to watch you grow up.

This weekend i framed a contact sheet, the photographs are of my mother, taken by my father, in high school. If you don’t look closely, you would think it’s me in the photos, the facial expression, the smile, the posture; we could be twins. My mother is my mentor and my inspiration, the most beautiful woman i know. She radiates grace and love, and brings peace into my life, may i grow to become more like her.
February 14th is one of my favourite days, an entire day dedicated to love, it’s always such a good reminder to tell all the wonderful people in my life how important they truly are to me. I hope today you know how loved you are. I made a little valentine for all of you, inspired by one of my favourite designers of all time.
